Private Session Terms & Conditions

(This covers both private hire and private parties)

  1. Availability
We have one private session slot available each day we are usually open (currently Mon-Sat), from 4-6pm

  2. Flexibility
We may be flexible with slot times, or even organising private sessions on Sundays when we’d normally be closed, or to replace a standard play session during the day for example, but these would need to be agreed on an ad-hoc basis. The sessions showing on the booking calendar are the only ones we can guarantee.

  3. Private Hire only (IE. no party)
These bookings receive no additional services; the sessions are identical in every way to a normal play session except you have exclusive use of the centre; all our normal play centre rules apply. If you are intending to have any sort of formal party during the private session (for example, requiring rearranging of furniture or organised food, etc) then you must book a private party session instead. Please contact us if you are unsure
  4. Capacity Limits
There is no minimim number of attendees for private sessions, although you do need to be sensible, as having the whole building to yourself will look very empty without at least a few children! It is unlikely you’ll reach our maximum capacity but please let us know if you are planning more than 80+ guests in total

  5. Covid
Although govt. have removed all restrictions, the official advice to business and individuals is to remain extremely vigilant. We have therefore kept most of our Covid restrictions in place. We will advise on max. booking numbers at the time of booking if our capacity is still restricted. But even if all restrictions are removed by the time of your private session, please be mindful of other people attending site who may still be apprehensive about Covid.
As bookings are obviously for a future date, you must also be aware that regulations may change at any time. We would refund bookings where any change in regulations makes them impossible/illegal, but minor changes or reversions back to previous restrictions do not necessarily warrant a refund if your booking is still able to proceed under conditions reasonably close to conditions in place when you originally booked

  6. Own Food/Drink
We rely on café sales to remain viable and keep our private session fees relatively low, so please encorage the purchasing of drinks and snacks from us during play. For private hire bookings, all normal rules apply and you are not allowed your own food or drink. For private party bookings, you are allowed to bring your own food & drink for the children during the party celebration only; please do not consume your own food or drink during the play session. It is your responsibility to ensure your party food is safe for all attendees with regard to allergies.

  7. Cancellations
Cancellations up until one week prior to your event will receive a full refund, unless we have incurred additional costs specifically because of your booking (for example, special requests that require ad-hoc planning work or 3rd party costs). We cannot refund deposits for cancellations with less than one week remaining until the event date unless we are able to re-sell the slot. Most bookings are made 2 or more weeks in advance, so late cancellations can prevent us from making a sale.  If you paid the full amount when booking, we will deduct £50 from your refund payment and apply the same rule as above.

  8. Additional items, props, decorations, etc.
For private party bookings, any electrical items or props you are planning to bring should be checked with us first. For example, a sound system or piñatas.
Any items deemed to be dangerous for a children’s party setting are strictly not allowed. For example, but not limited to:
    – your own kettle/water boiler
    – soup heaters or other types of food heaters
    – electrical items or toys/props not in perfect working order and tested where relevant
    – open flames

  9. Breakages
Any breakages/damage caused during your party may be charged to you at the time.

  10. Time extension
As the play centre is being kept open solely for your group, please be aware that any unreasonable extension to the two-hour slot may incur an additional charge. Please endeavour to be out of the building by the end of your session time.

  11. Supervision
If your booking involves other parents dropping their children off and leaving them in your care, you MUST ensure there is adequate adult supervision in the play centre for all party guests at all times. As a sensible guide, this would be a maximum of 6 children per adult.
